Some days you just get extremely lucky with the conditions and almost every single picture you make looks great. It is hard to suppress the blissful feeling and focus on the task at hand, because everything is just so gorgeous, like walking in fairytale land. This picture was created on the same day as several other in the Album Pine Forests. The fog did not lift for many hours and this meant I could make image after image and after that I left with many nice images on my memory card and a sore arm from holding the camera with the telephoto lens attached for such a long time. This little scene reminded me of palm trees strangely enough. I love the slight diagonal lines in the image which give this a more dynamic feel. The undergrowth was not yet there as this was the end of winter, so this helped tremendously in getting a clean photograph with the feet of the trees exposed. It is an image that would be impossible to make later in the year, because everything looks entirely different then
