Model in Piazza di Spagna at the bottom of the Spanish Steps in Rome. The Spanish Steps, officially called the Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti, are the long and wide steps that run from Piazza di Spagna to the monastery church Trinità dei Monti. The Spanish Steps were installed by the French in the 18th century, but the steps owe their name to the Spanish embassy that can be found next to the steps. Today, the beautiful steps are a major tourist attraction and are also often used as a meeting place by both locals and groups of tourists.
