About the artwork

The disused train station of Montzen (B) is completely abandoned and it makes a grim impression as soon as you enter the immense building. The current building dates from the early 20th century and during WW1 was an important hub in the supply of German troops at the front in West Flanders. The station was part of the then illustrious "Kanonenbahn".
After the end of WW1 there was only passenger transport, but this came to an end due to the ever decreasing numbers of passengers. After the final end of passenger transport on the short stretch in the 1960s, the decline of the train station set in and it fell further and further into disrepair. The total abandonment of the once so important train station makes a sinister impression and the frightened flying of feral pigeons and running wild cats make your hair stand on end. There are strange noises coming from everywhere, mostly caused by rattling rain pipes and creaking doors, while in the corner of your eye you think you see shadows. You know it's not true that ghosts or similar things exist, but still fear rules at such times....

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
