About ‘Solargraph 26-1-006 'Buster Able'’ by Daniel Laan

A faint, blue-glowing mass appears amongst the shadows of the pine trees, evoking the atmosphere of a cold, otherworldly fireball. The image was created over a period of six months using photographic paper inside an empty tin, with a pinhole allowing light to enter. Captured in the first half of 2026 in the Schoorl Dunes and subsequently developed from a negative, with scope for colour, contrast and a sense of menace. From the series *Within the Blast Radius*, which has its origins in rare dreams about the final moment before a nuclear explosion, in which this image depicts the failed nuclear test ‘Buster Able’. This was the only pinhole camera that fell from the tree whilst the exposure was taking place and, miraculously, landed amongst the grass with the pinhole facing upwards, where it recorded the canopy for half a year.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
