About ‘Spring monkfish’ by Holger Felix

The fishing boat Seeteufel belongs to the beach fishermen in the Kaiserbad Ahlbeck. Ahlbeck is located on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom on the longest beach in Germany. When the anglerfish goes fishing in the Baltic Sea, it is pulled into the sea by a red Belarus tractor. When it is caught, the tractor pulls it back onto the beach. On that sunny April day, he was lying leisurely on the beach. His mission in the morning sea was over. And so he became a very popular photo motif for me. A beautiful moment and an even more beautiful experience. The fish was available fresh, fried and smoked at the fish snack bar near the beach, simply delicious.

I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
