About ‘Steampunk Hats’ by Thomas Bugdoll

Steampunk (from English steam "steam" American English punk "lousy", "worthless", taken for granted "punk") is a phenomenon that first appeared as a literary trend in the 1980s and has developed into an art genre, a cultural movement, a style and a subculture. On the one hand, modern and futuristic technical functions are combined with means and materials of the Victorian age, creating a distinct retro look of technology. On the other hand, the culture of the Victorian age is presented in an idealised form. Steampunk thus falls into the realm of so-called retro-futurism, i.e. an idea of the future from the perspective of earlier times. Steampunk thus refers to a time that never existed. It is a fantasy world that has the basic idea: how did people around 1900 imagine the future?

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
