About ‘Széchenyi Chain Bridge’ by Jeroen de Jongh Photography

Széchenyi Chain Bridge, the most famous bridge in Budapest. Special with the Buda castle in the background.

The Chain Bridge (Hungarian: Széchenyi lánchíd) is the oldest bridge over the Danube in the Hungarian capital Budapest. She's the fifth bridge, if you go downstream. The 330 m long and 15.8 m wide bridge is located between Adam Clark Square (Clark Ádám tér) in Buda and Stefan Széchenyi Square (Széchenyi István tér) in Pest and dates back to 1849. At the time, it was the first fixed bridge over the Danube downstream of Regensburg.

Officially, since 1899 this busy bridge has been called the Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Széchenyi-Lánchid), after Count István Széchenyi, the man who took the initiative to build it. Széchenyi, nicknamed the "Greatest Hungarian", when Hungary was still part of Austria, took many initiatives to improve Hungary's prosperity. At his insistence, factories, roads, bridges and mills were built and agriculture improved.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
