About ‘The pink cup’ by Karolina Grenczyk

A young woman stirs dreamily with a spoon in her coffee. She is wearing a dress with a graphic pattern. Her eyes are lowered, her facial expression calm and contemplative. The work has a graceful mood and is a shade of pink. However, the white surface of the dress ensures that your eye is immediately drawn to the woman.

This work came about because I like to draw people in cafés. Ideally, then, I like them to be sunk in thought and not notice me. I also have a love for graphic design and pattern design, which comes together in this work.

I like that there is a contrast in the work; the woman's expression and gestures are calm, while many patterns have been used. The colour palette mainly one colour, which makes everything come together.

Personally, this work reminds me of Japanese art, because there is a lot of tranquillity in that too.

The technique is 'paper cut' or collage. I use coloured paper and self-drawn patterns to create an image by cutting and pasting.

For people with an affinity for graphics, Japanese art or vintage furniture, this is a must have.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
