Amsterdam tulips, who doesn't know them? In spring, they are placed in various places in Amsterdam to give the city some more colour. The most famous spot in our capital, Dam Square, is no exception.
It was deserted at the moment, which is a unique sight. No people, no traffic, no trams but corona. For me the only big advantage of this pandemic, the city all to yourself.
From Haarlem, armed with my camera, wide-angle lens and tripod, I headed for Amsterdam. Arriving at Dam Square, I first enjoyed the silence, lovely! Then I took some time to set everything up.
For this photo, I used focus stacking to get both the tulips at the front of the frame and the Dam Palace in focus.
The weather was very good this evening, a lovely colourful sunset with some clouds, it couldn't have been better!
As always, I edit my photos taken on the road at home at my desk. There I have access to a fast computer, a large screen, a Wacom drawing tablet and several software packages, to make the photo suitable for your wall.
