About ‘Up and down’ by Nop Briex

It was 1972. I was 7 and going to England for the first time with my father, mother and my sisters. The sight of the white cliffs of Dover was mesmerising as the ferry approached the English south coast at Dover. That holiday, I enjoyed the wide-open landscape of the South Downs where we walked and launched our kites. I had a storm kite made of cotton and my sisters had those plastic kites with butterflies on them. We had trouble getting these things into the air because of the gusty, offshore wind. Once the lines were unrolled, the kites danced happily through the blue sky in the warm summer sun. High above the sea with a fearsome depth of cliffs and pebble beaches below, we sat atop the cliff in the swaying grass. At noon, we squinted because of the bright backlight while father emptied the bag with sun cream, sandwiches and thermos bottles. Delicious was that time.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
