I found these beautiful six-petaled wild flowers among my iris leaves and have been told that they are what we call in Italy wood garlic but they also known as wild garlic, ramsons, wild cowleek, cowlic, buckrams, broad-leaved garlic, wood garlic, bear leek, Eurasian wild garlic or bear's garlic. They have a pungent smell of garlic and apparently are quite edible. A bulbous perennial flowering plant, these grow in moist woodland. Not sure why they are growing with my iris but they sure are pretty!
