Jan Mulders (1986) is a photographer from ’s-Hertogenbosch who captures stories in images full of atmosphere and humanity. His work has appeared in De Volkskrant, Trouw, Het Parool, Nederlands Dagblad, 11 Freunde, and SoFoot. Mulders enjoys working in the space between documentary and portrait: close, honest, and sometimes raw.
His eye for detail has also earned him recognition at the Zilveren Camera: in 2023 he won 1st Prize in the Arts, Culture & Entertainment (single image) category with his photo Semana Santa, and in 2024 he was shortlisted again.
In his personal projects, Mulders often focuses on groups of people who share a passion – athletes, hobbyists, and associations. As he puts it himself, he “collects hobbies.”
