An unfurling leave of the Strelitzia Nicolai (white bird of paradise) offers a swirling perspective on the inside. Because the sunlight enters from one side, a nice progression of the contrast from dark to light is created.
The flowers of the Nicolai have a blue-white color, unlike the brighter blue-orange color combination of the Strelizia Reginae - which is much better known. Another big difference with the Reginae is that the Nicolai plant can grow into a tree of several meters in hight, while the Reginae always retains the size of a shrub.
The colors in nature are always very refined; a painter could hardly imitate this. This is a good example of the photos I like to take: filling the screen without editing the colors. In this way I try to pay tribute to the colors of the jungle.
