By the way, the BMW 3.0 E9 was assembled on a contract basis by Karmann at the Rheine plant, with a total of 30,546 cars. For a BMW 2800 CS in 1969 at the beginning 22.977 DM had to be paid. For a 1972 freshly tuned BMW 3.0 CSL GS it was already 42.760 DM, even more expensive from Schnitzer BMW it was available for 56.667 DM.
