About ‘Flysch in Northern Spain’ by Detlef Hansmann Photography

In northern Spain there is a spectacular occurrence of so-called flysch. A geological peculiarity in which plates of different types of rock such as slate have formed during the folding of mountains. These plates rise up to 100 m high from the sea and thus form the fascinating rocky coast in the Basque Country.
