Goethe's garden house is one of Weimar's most famous historical buildings. It was Goethe's first residence in the city and served him for decades as a place to retreat, observe nature and write. This combination of personal history, nature and intellectual work was my main inspiration for this painting.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that radiates simplicity, concentration and closeness to nature. The picture invites you to pause and reflect on the balance between people and their surroundings. It is not about monumentality, but about the quiet presence of a place with cultural depth.
