Some days are definitely more moody than others. This winter day was one of those days. I had spotted that there was a dense fog on the moors of the Veluwe and when I arrived the branches were covered in ice, even the tiniest branches were glistening, but thaw was setting in and everything started to drip and the atmosphere was dark and turned this scene into something quite dramatic and almost devoid of colour. I have this print on my wall on Xpozer and this was actually the first time I spotted the little stick figure to the left just floating in the air. This is still one of my favourite images because of the melancholic look combined with almost storybook appearance of this amazing oak tree
