About ‘Miradouro Ilhéus da Ribeira da Janela’ by Chris Snoek

This photo shows the impressive view from Miradouro Ilhéus da Ribeira da Janela on Madeira. Rugged rock formations rise out of the Atlantic Ocean, while the waves beat vigorously against the shore. The interplay of water, rocks and sky creates a dynamic landscape in which untamed nature takes centre stage. Subtle details, such as the foam around the rocks, the jagged shapes of the cliffs and the changing light, add depth to the image.

My inspiration for this work came from experiencing the raw side of Madeira, away from the tourist crowds. Standing by this view, I wanted to capture the sheer power and grandeur of the ocean, combined with the tranquillity that this landscape exudes at the same time. The atmosphere is powerful, fresh and slightly mysterious, making the image inviting you to look longer and dream away at the island's pristine nature.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
