I love to find small pockets of woodland that look more natural and one day when hiking I found this small woodland area, which seems to be more of a home to animals than to humans. A few days later I returned and I was treated to fog and I can hardly recall a more wondrous day of forest photography than this one. The small pine trees seemed to interact with each other in so many different way that I kept photographing them until the batteries of my camera had all died. The grass makes this forest look less chaotic than the usual forests with their ferns and blueberry bushes, which made a welcome change.
