Those who thought that there is only classical art to be found in Florence are wrong. A good example is the artwork "The Ordinary Man" by French artist Clet Abraham. Abraham has lived in Florence for over twenty years and has become known for his humorous art. He is also called "traffic cop of the soul" by the people of Florence, because he regularly transforms road signs into art. In 2011, he surprised the city with The Ordinary Man, or "Uomo Comune. It is a sculpture of someone who seems to want to step from the Ponte delle Grazie straight into the Arno. The Municipality was less than pleased with the statue and has removed it on several occasions. Abraham, however, persists... he has already put the statue back four times.
In this photo, you look over the shoulder of The Common Man from the Ponte delle Grazie onto the famous Ponte Vecchio. The Ponte Vecchio is the most famous bridge in Florence, and possibly even in Italy.
