About ‘Silent Flame’ by Elcee Vision

I took this photo during a day trip to Pairi Daiza with my favorite little human: my godchild. So incredibly elegant. For some reason, this flamingo radiates confidence to me. How often do you see a flamingo photo with the quote, “Stand tall, darling”?

In this image, you see a bright orange flamingo touching the dark water with its curved neck. Its beak gently breaks the surface, creating subtle ripples. Beneath it appears an almost perfect reflection, where the shapes of bare trees fade into a graphic play of lines. The warm glow of its feathers contrasts intensely with the cool, almost black water.

I wanted to capture the tension between warmth and stillness. The fiery orange evokes summer — sun on the skin, tropical atmospheres, long evenings, summer bars, and a touch of heaven. At the same time, the dark water brings calm and depth. It is an image that radiates both energy and serenity.

Technically, I deliberately chose a composition in which the S-shape of the neck takes center stage, with the reflection supporting the image. The contrast between light and shadow enhances the drama without losing serenity.

In an interior, this piece works as a powerful accent. The warm orange brings life into a minimalist space and pairs beautifully with black, white, concrete, or natural materials. It is a statement piece that feels both elegant and timeless.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
