About ‘Urban trails: contrast and expression’ by Hans Kwaspen

I see layers of history and spontaneity melting together in this abstract photographic work. The rough bricks on the left tell a story of time and transience, while the white wall with graffiti on the right testifies to human expression and spontaneity. The contrast between structure and chaos fascinates me; it is a dialogue between order and impulsiveness.

My inspiration comes from the urban environment-the quiet conversations between walls that change and adapt over the years. The orange circle feels like an explosion of energy, while the black lines suggest fluid, mysterious movement. This work exudes an air of raw honesty, of the uncontrolled dynamism that links urban art and decay.

This photographic composition echoes the abstract expression of artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Cy Twombly, who also used spontaneous, almost intuitive markings. What makes this work so special is the way it invites the viewer to look further-to recognise the stories and rhythms of the city in abstract forms.

As an artwork on the wall, it brings character, dynamism and a visual dialogue to any space. It is a living piece that constantly evokes new perspectives and interpretations, a work that lives with the space it is in.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
