About ‘Venetian Solitude’ by Steve Henderson

A quiet canal tucked between buildings is an escape from the tourist crowds that assail you when you are in Venice, Italy.

After all, the city receives more than 12 million visitors every year, so it's only logical that there would be a lot of people, everywhere.

But that's just it: they're not everywhere. Generally, most people stay in just two areas, the Rialto Bridge district and San Marco Piazza, because a lot of people are there for only an afternoon, or at most, a day plus a little more.

The artwork, Venetian Solitude, invites you to take a walk through the streets of the historic city, across this bridge and that one, through narrow passageways that look like alleys but are actual streets, and wind and wend your way beyond where most people are willing to walk or explore.

Because it's rather easy to get lost.

But that's okay, because you're here for more than a day, you're in the mood to explore, and you know that no matter how far you go on the island, you'll be able to find your way back to the Rialto or San Marco Piazza.

Stop for a moment, on this bridge, and just breathe in the peace.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
