The marsh harrier in the series 'art of flight'.
It is incredibly difficult to capture the courtship well of the male marsh harrier. I have been trying to capture them for decades because harriers are really my favourites. They are quite cautious when it comes to humans. The birds normally breed in reeds but this bird had built a nest in the farm wheat. Sometimes there is one that is so cheerful that for a moment it seems to forget what is happening. Diving above his field, he comes down courtship to show his dominance. In Mauritania, I also saw them wintering and unimaginably agile chasing waders. Being able to capture the courtship like this was a privilege. You can see its flight path and how it turns on its axis. The flight of birds of prey is fascinating don't you think? I really hope all the time it took to capture something like this was worth it.
