The artwork "Berlin - Federal Chancellery" shows the modern architecture of Germany's political centre. The focus is on the striking building with its clear lines, large glass surfaces and white concrete structures. The well-known sculpture in the forecourt - consisting of interlocking metal forms - complements the composition as a highly symbolic element. The Chancellery is surrounded by well-tended green spaces and façades partly covered in ivy. The sky above is slightly cloudy, with a translucent blue - a moment between movement and calm.
The inspiration for this work arose from the desire to show political architecture not just as a centre of power, but as part of the public space. I was interested in the combination of functionality, symbolism and aesthetics - and how these are reflected in the design of the Chancellery.
The atmosphere is matter-of-fact, but not cool. I wanted to create an image that encourages reflection on responsibility, transparency and creative power - without judgement.
This work conveys clarity and structure. It invites us to reflect on the role of architecture in society.
In interior design, the picture acts as a calm but powerful accent. It fits particularly well in modern, minimalist rooms, where it can be used as a visual statement of order, openness and zeitgeist.
