About ‘Bikaner: Junagarh Fort’ by Maarten Verhees

Junagarh Fort is een fort in de stad Bikaner. Het fort heette oorspronkelijk Chintamani en werd in het begin van de 20e eeuw omgedoopt tot Junagarh of 'Old Fort' toen het heersende gezin buiten het fort verhuisde naar Lalgarh Palace. Het is een van de weinige forten in Rajasthan die niet op een heuveltop is gebouwd. De moderne stad Bikaner heeft zich rond het fort ontwikkeld.Het fortcomplex werd gebouwd onder toezicht van Karan Chand, de premier van Raja Rai Singh, de zesde heerser van Bikaner, die regeerde van 1571 tot 1611 na Christus. De bouw van de muren en bijbehorende gracht begon in 1589 en werd voltooid in 1594. Het werd gebouwd buiten het oorspronkelijke fort van de stad, ongeveer 1,5 kilometer van het stadscentrum. Sommige overblijfselen van het oude fort worden bewaard in de buurt van de Lakshmi Narayan-tempel.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
