About ‘Costa Rica: Irazú Vulkaan’ by Maarten Verhees

De Volcán Irazú is een thans slapende vulkaan in Costa Rica. Hij is 3432m hoog. De laatste uitbarsting vond plaats in 1963. De grootste gevolgen waren toen voor de hoofdstad San José, maar ook voor andere omliggende steden bleef de uitbarsting niet zonder gevolgen. In Cartago werd het westelijke gedeelte van de stad - Los Diques - geheel van de kaart geveegd door de neerkomende modderstromen, veroorzaakt door de rotsblokken en as die in de rivieren terechtkwamen.In 1994 vond een freatomagmatische uitbarsting plaats die as kilometers de lucht inschoot en de wijde omtrek ermee bedekte. De vulkaan ligt in het Nationaal Park Vulkaan Irazú (Parque Nacional Volcán Irazú), 2300 hectare groot.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
