About ‘Guatemala: Meer van Atitlán’ by Maarten Verhees

Het Meer van Atitlán is een kratermeer, een op 1500 meter hoogte door twaalf dorpen en drie vulkanen omringd meer in Guatemala. De dorpen zijn vernoemd naar de twaalf apostelen. De Britse schrijver Aldous Huxley betitelde het als "het mooiste meer ter wereld". Opvallend is de rust en het heldere blauwe water. De grootste en meest toeristische plaats in de omgeving is Panajachel. Kleinere dorpen rond het meer zijn San Pedro La Laguna, Santiago Atitlán, San Marcos la Laguna, Santa Cararna Palopo en San Antonio Palopo. De buurtschap Panabaj in de gemeente Santiago Atitlán werd in 2005 van de kaart geveegd door Orkaan Stan. Hierbij kwamen meer dan duizend mensen om.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
