As an abstract art photographer, I am constantly searching for the beauty in the everyday and the ephemeral. This work, titled "Impermanence of Material," was inspired by a chance discovery while walking through an abandoned industrial site. The textures and colours of the metal surfaces, combined with the dried leaves lying between them, captured my imagination and inspired me to capture this moment.
With this work, I set an atmosphere of melancholy and reflection. It evokes memories of the transience of materials and the silent influence of nature on man-made objects. The contrasts between the rusty brown and weathered grey create an intriguing play of light and shadow, similar to the works of photographers such as Aaron Siskind and Minor White, who also emphasise the beauty of textures and abstract forms in their photography.
What makes this work so special is the way it invites the viewer to dwell on the beauty of the everyday and the ephemeral. It is more than a photograph-it is an experience that offers you new insights every time. By hanging "Impermanence of Material" on your wall, you bring a piece of that mystical world into your own space. It enriches not only your interior, but also your daily experience by inspiring and stimulating you again and again. Discover the hidden stories this work has to tell and get carried away by its depth and stratification.
