About ‘Iran: Abyaneh’ by Maarten Verhees
Abyaneh is a historic village in Iran. Almost 350 people live there. The village is located in the province of Isfahan. In the local language Abybaneh means bidestan (garden of willow trees). The history of the village Abyaneh goes back to the Sassanides. They formed the royal house of the Persian Empire from the 3rd to the 7th century.
