It was a cold winter morning when I visited this waterfall. It lies just outside the popular Glencoe Valley, in the highlands of Scotland. This is also one of the locations of the James bond film Skyfall.
It was already late afternoon, so sunset was not far away. The clouds were beginning to discolour nicely, matching the dark red earth tones, of the surrounding mountains.
For this image, I chose a slower shutter speed, giving the water a nice flowing texture and the cloudy sky a dynamic effect.
This image exudes the Scottish Highlands, with its rugged landscape and fast-flowing rivers!!!
