Together with a friend, I left for this city for five days to take photos. I had been to Paris before, but that was before my photography days. So it was high time to discover the city again - this time with my camera in hand.
Beforehand, we made a list of places we absolutely wanted to see. Of course, the Louvre was not to be missed. What an impressive piece of architecture. During the day it was crowded with tourists, but around 11 p.m. the square was swept empty. From a quiet spot behind the fence, I was finally able to take some shots.
With my camera on a tripod and the right settings, I started shooting. After a few successful images, we decided to move on - it was nice for the day and time to head towards the hotel.
I do the post-processing at home, behind my desktop. There, I take my time using the right software to further refine the images. I look for tones that best convey the feeling of the place. In this case, it is the warm tones of the building and the deep dark blue sky that, for me, coincide perfectly and beautifully capture the atmosphere of the Louvre.
