About ‘Private view’ by Jan van der Knaap

The village of Domme in France consists of two parts. One part lies at the foot of the hill, next to the River Dordogne. The other part is situated on top of the hill and offers views over the valley and the river landscape. The village also has a promenade at the top.
Directly below that promenade is a rocky outcrop with a cave opening, and right there stands a plastic chair. Just a chair. Nothing else around it, just a chair with a view over the valley. There’s nothing else nearby, not even any rubbish. Just a little chair.
So someone must have brought a little chair there. They must have done so via the cave, which suggests there must be a second entrance somewhere else.
At the foot of the rocks, amongst the fallen leaves and overlooking the green valley, someone has created a quiet little spot for themselves.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
