About the artwork

Zaandijk , mirroring tranquillity and character. On a quiet morning, I walked to Zaanse Schans with the plan to capture the windmills. But my attention was drawn to the other side of the Zaan, where Zaandijk presented itself in perfect stillness. Windless weather, soft light and a few graceful clouds above the village, everything fell into place.

The characteristic Zaan houses stood there like a painting, beautifully mirrored in the smooth water. I composed and edited this image with great care, so that it not only captures the moment, but is also suitable as an atmospheric wall decoration.

For me, photography is all about capturing atmosphere and balance. This work brings to life the tranquillity of a North-Holland morning and invites to look and feel. It is an ode to tradition, simplicity and the beauty of the everyday.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
