About ‘Hội An: Quan Cong tempel’ by Maarten Verhees

Hội An is een kuststad in centraal Vietnam aan de Zuid-Chinese Zee. De stad ligt in de provincie Quảng Nam en heeft zo'n 120.000 inwoners. Deze voormalige havenstad van het koninkrijk Champa ligt aan het estuarium van de Hội An en was een belangrijk handelscentrum in de 16e en 17e eeuw. Toen kwamen er handelaren uit China, Japan, Nederland en India. Ten tijde van de handelsbetrekkingen met China heette de stad Hai Pho (plaats aan de zee), tijdens de Franse bezetting Faifo. Oorspronkelijk was Hai Pho gescheiden in twee stadsgedeeltes; aan de overkant van de "Japanse Brug" lag een Japanse nederzetting.In 1999 is de oude stad van Hoi An opgenomen op de Werelderfgoed lijst van UNESCO, als een goed bewaard voorbeeld van een Zuidoost Aziatische handelsstad uit de 15e tot 19e eeuw, met gebouwen die een unieke mengeling van lokale en buitenlandse invloeden vertonen. Een voorbeeld daarvan is de 'Japanse brug' (Chùa Cầu).

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
