St Paul's Cathedral, a must if you book a trip to London. So I too had planned a visit to this impressive cathedral. Once inside, it was not long to find where I wanted to go. Right under the imposing dome, was the spot I had in mind.
Since you are not allowed to use a tripod here, I had brought an alternative in my photo equipment. A small steel plate on which I could attach my ball head. On it, I attached my camera with my wide-angle lens, a 12mm Voigtländer, and positioned it right in the middle under the dome.
With the screen folded down, I could properly aim my camera so that everything was captured properly symmetrically. Using a remote control, I took several shots here with different exposures because the difference between light and dark was quite large.
I will eventually work with these shots at home. There, I have the right tools at my disposal to merge these shots and make them suitable for your wall.
