About ‘There is no proof! Said she, the philosopher’ by Susan Hol

The woman in the red dress and the large green leaf both demand equal attention. The woman I cut from a medieval image. She holds up the finger of her right hand, like a philosopher making an argument. She is surrounded by text, from a very old book of stories by Shakespeare. The French text: que vos chants, is from the same medieval image as the woman.
I glued a fluffy feather to the green leaf with glue lacquer. The fluffy then turns into jagged lines.
The purple petals are from the poppy. The yellow petal of the daffodil. The twig with the rounded buds, no idea what that is: just beautiful ;-)
The image is intersected by a light orange stripe of washi tape. The part to the left of the tape is a painting of a beautiful bush and other shapes: a picture from a magazine. Above the yellow petal is a painting, from a magazine. The chair looks like Van Gogh's work, but to my knowledge he didn't paint nudes.
At the top right, in a semicircle, is a cutout from a gramophone record. Just below it is another beautifully shaped leaf, with bright veins.
For the rest, besides glue paint, I worked with acrylic paint.

In all these branches of visual work, I have tried a lot, found my own way, but also often had lessons from various professionals. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
