About ‘Parrots and macaws: Monk parakeet’ by Rini Kools
Monk parakeets have a striking green head, an olive green belly and a long, green tail. Their forehead, rein, cheeks, chin, throat and upper chest are light grey. The plumage is the same in both sexes. They have a crooked parrot beak, which is pale beige-pink. The difference between males and pupae is hardly visible.
